Category Manager – Electrical

Our client is a well-established, highly successful online retailer, across Australia and New Zealand.
They source products across homeware, fashion, skincare, electrical and gardening with a focus on continually finding products that are on-trend and of appeal to their customers.
Due to business growth, they are seeking a Category Manager/ Buyer in the electrical hard goods category, where you will be instrumental in driving and growing specific product categories and achieving forecasted revenue to deliver sales growth.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop and manage range selection for various categories based on trend analyse and customer demand, ensuring competitive pricing strategies to drive category growth
- Use data and insights to determine the sourcing, buying and import strategy
- Manage and analyse reporting and financial plans to achieve margin, sales revenue and profit
- Determine profitable promotional plans for the business
- Monitor trends, globally and locally, along with competitor activity
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders
To be successful within this role, you will have:
- Previous experience working as a Category Management/Buyer in Electrical or Hardgoods is essential
- Entrepreneurial skillset and mindset
- Strong sourcing and negotiation skills
- Adaptable and able to work in a fast paced environment
- Excellent time management, communication and organisational skills
- Trend savvy – you know what customers want!
