Senior Immigration Consultant

Our client is a fast-growing immigration and talent solutions firm with a vision to enable business to grow with global talent. As an immigration law firm, they offer talent-related solutions including international workforce and mobility programs, on-hire sponsorship solutions and have a technology platform providing migration compliance solutions across the full life cycle of an employee.
They are now seeking a strategic and autonomous Senior Immigration Consultant, where you will combine hands-on casework with high-level client advisory. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to a portfolio of individual and business clients, including complex and nonstandard matters, delivering pragmatic solutions and achieving practical outcomes that drive business growth.
You are authorised to sign off on tactical plans and documentation in line with the agreed client strategy or marketing strategy and plans. The role also involves implementing process improvements, produce thought-leading content, and building strong client and stakeholder relationships.
What you’ll be responsible for
- Developing commercially-sound immigration strategies and plans and managing casework from initiation to completion to deliver upon agreed client strategies.
- Leading customer service delivery for a portfolio of clients.
- Handling enquiries and client instructions according to agreed service levels.
- Using commercial acumen and technical knowledge to provide high value, differentiated services.
- Maintaining a confident knowledge of migration law, policy and industry trends, and contributing your knowledge within the team.
- Preparing decision-ready applications and accompanying submissions or evidence and advocating for the client to DOHA.
- Preparing briefing papers, updates on legal issues and other content for business development or marketing purposes.
- Plan and deliver events such as webinars, face-to-face workshops, business development meetings.
What we’re looking for
- 3 – 5 years’ experience as an immigration lawyer in a corporate immigration firm
- Qualification in law or migration law and current legal practicing certificate
- Experience managing a range of immigration matters independently
- Expertise in corporate immigration and employment-related visas
- Commitment to high professional and ethical standards
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new knowledge
- Can work independently and collaboratively within a team
- High level communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines under pressure
- Interest in contributing positively to public discourse and policy on immigration
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
