Buying Manager

Our client is a leading apparel retailer with both brick and mortar and a strong Ecommerce presence, that is passionate about bringing on-trend and value-focused product ranges to their customer.
This newly created position, as Buying Manager, is an excellent opportunity for a current Buying Manager looking for a new challenge or a Product Manager who is ready to step into a broader, more strategic role.
This senior role leads the brand’s buying function, with 4 direct reports and combines hands-on category ownership with strategic oversight of the end-to-end product direction whilst working closely with Production, Planning, Marketing & E-commerce, and Visual Merchandising to deliver aligned, profitable outcomes.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the menswear buying and category strategy in line with brand and business objectives
- Driving product development, supplier partnerships, and ethical sourcing standards
- Managing category performance across sales, margin, stock, and OTB
- Leading, developing, and mentoring the product team
To be successful within the role, you will have:
- Solid experience in apparel product with strong commercial awareness
- Experience with factories and direct sourcing
- High energy and a clear drive to deliver compelling, customer-focused product
- A naturally collaborative approach, building strong relationships across teams
- Highly organised and great communicator
- Tech savvy and Excel skills
- Menswear experience is advantageous

Please note that this role requires a minimum of one international trip per year for approximately 2 weeks. Prior international travel buying/ product management experience is required.
