Product Manager/Buyer

The Company:

Our client is a leading apparel retailer with both brick and mortar and a strong Ecommerce presence, that is passionate about bringing on-trend and value-focused product ranges to their customer.

The Product Manager/Buyer will create, range and deliver a balanced product assortment that is relevant to the customer and maximises commercial opportunities. 

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategically own and manage a selection of categories within apparel and accessories from product selection, sourcing, price negotiation, order placement to warehouse delivery
  • Manage a commercial and desirable range that meets sales budgets, margin targets, proposed range mix and customer expectations
  • Continuous product development for your specific categories using a combination of current trends and proven product knowledge – design led product development
  • Ability to trade your range in season and are accountable for core lines with the planners
  • Identify new trends and product relevant to the brand customer through overseas travel, online research and local market awareness
  • Ensure the OTB is filled and product deliveries are phased correctly
  • Own product from creation, fitting, production to stores

To be successful within the role, you will have:

  • 5 years of experience as a Product Manager/Buyer, menswear experience highly desirable 
  • Strong creative eye
  • Collaborative approach
  • Stellar communication skills
  • Commercial acumen with a trade focused approach
