The Company:
Our client is a leading apparel retailer with both brick and mortar and a strong eCommerce presence, that is passionate about bringing high-quality, on-trend and value-focused product ranges to their customer.
The Garment Technician will work closely with the Product and Production team to deliver on trend products on a 6-12 month contract basis.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the journey from sample creation to final fit approval, ensuring impeccable quality and consistency
- Schedule and manage fit sessions with a keen eye on time management
- Maintain a standardised fit and sizing across all products
- Measure and inspect all fit samples, creating precise specs and grading with tools like 3 Clicks
- Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers, providing constructive fit feedback
- Partner with Development and Production teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of fit comments
- Approve bulk fabric test reports and oversee final bulk garment inspections
- Compile and present monthly inspection performance reports
- Keep their Supplier Manuals up-to-date
What You’ll Bring:
- 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a strong background in garment construction and technical expertise across multiple product areas
- Must have menswear experience
- A deep understanding of garment specifications, technical fit, and grading
- Stellar communication skills, both with offshore suppliers and internal teams
- A thorough grasp of critical path management, coupled with excellent time management skills
- A meticulous approach to organisation, with the foresight to anticipate and solve problems
- Proficiency in 3 Clicks is a plus, alongside essential skills in Excel and Outlook
This role is open to someone on a Working Holiday Visa if they have relevant experience. We will also consider both full-time and part-time candidates for this opportunity.
