  • Candidates expect a 10–20% salary increase when changing jobs.
  • Workplace flexibility (work from home and flexible hours) is now more desirable than traditional perks.
  • While bonus/commission structures remain important, they’re outranked by career progression and L&D opportunities.
  • Salary growth plateaus at senior levels unless accompanied by title progression.
What Candidates Want Most in 2025

According to our research:

  1. Work from Home – 71% value this highly
  2. Flexible Hours – 66% cite it as a priority
  3. Bonus/Commission – Still important, but not the main driver
  4. Career Progression – Essential for long-term retention
  5. Learning & Development – Especially among early to mid-career professionals

These findings highlight a clear shift: culture and flexibility matter just as much as compensation.

Why Employees Are Leaving Roles

Key motivators for change include:

  • Poor workplace environment or culture (21%)
